DESCRIPTION

In a calm and warmly lit room at our home in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, you are invited to take time to come closer to yourself through the breath. This one-on-one session lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours and is fully attuned to your personal process and needs. Beforehand, we connect by phone to discuss your intention or what you feel drawn to explore. You may come with a clear theme or simply with curiosity and a wish to discover.

During the session, we guide you step by step — first by bringing awareness to your natural breathing and where tension or blockage may be present. From there, we gently guide you into connected breathing — an intensive technique that can touch deep layers and bring release to emotion, energy, and insight.

With breathwork, a lot can move. Emotions such as crying, shouting, trembling, or waves of heat and cold are completely natural and welcome. We encourage you to feel and express whatever arises, staying present in the body so that healing can happen here and now. The work focuses on embodiment and integration in the moment. Of course, the breath can also take you into more cosmic or transcendent experiences — that too is welcome — yet our focus remains on anchoring your experience in your body and in daily life.

We close the session with integration and conversation, allowing the experience to settle gently.

FAQ

Your questions,
our answers

What does a private breathwork session look like?

A session lasts on average 1.5 to 2 hours. We begin with a cup of tea and a short conversation about how you’re feeling and what your intention or question is. From there, I guide you step by step through the breathing technique. Afterward, we take time for integration and a closing conversation — again with a cup of tea — so your experience can settle gently.

Where does the session take place?

Sessions are held in our home in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, in a quiet and comfortable space where you can feel safe and supported.

What can happen during a breathwork session?

Breathwork can bring a lot into motion. You may experience emotions such as crying, laughter, or shouting, as well as physical sensations like trembling, heat, tingling, or cramping. All of this is part of the process. If cramping occurs, I’ll support you in breathing calmly through it.

What is the role of touch during the session?

Touch can be an important element in supporting your process. It may be firm or subtle, depending on what arises. Even without physical touch, we work energetically — you can often feel that you are being held and guided.

Do I need previous experience with breathwork?

No, you don’t. The session is completely tailored to you, whether this is your first breathwork experience or you’ve practiced it before.

What if I feel nervous about it?

That’s completely normal. Because it’s one-on-one, there’s plenty of space to go at your own pace. We take time to make sure you feel safe and comfortable. Nothing needs to be forced — everything happens in your own rhythm.

How can I best prepare for the session?

It helps to reduce stimulation in the days leading up to the session — such as coffee, alcohol, or cigarettes. This makes you more receptive to the work. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water. Beforehand, you’ll receive a short preparation guide with all practical information.

Can I do a session together with my partner or a friend?

No, these sessions are focused entirely on you. This allows full space, time, and attention for your personal process.

How can I register for a session?

Send us a message through the booking page or by email. We’ll schedule a short intake call and then find a date that works best for you.

With pure joy
